Darley July Cup

Today’s highlight is the Darley July Cup one of the most prestigious and valuable sprints in the racing calendar. The Aussie speedball Scenic Blast, so impressive when scorching home in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, is a worthy favourite, but the most fascinating runner in many ways is the Queen Anne winner Paco Boy who reverts to sprinting having been campaigned over distances in excess of 6f since his juvenile days. Golden Jubilee winner Art Connoisseur is the third Royal Ascot winner in the line-up but Scenic Blast looks a worthy favourite in the Group 1 contest due off at 3:10pm. Stan James are offering 1/4 odds to three places for the Darley July Cup.
